Petra Maruschek is a German artist based in Düsseldorf and S`Alqueria Blanca in the southeast of the Island. She is self-taught and has been involved in art since 2001. She loves rust and cracks and works a lot with marble powder, marsh lime and other structural pastes. She is fascinated by the unpredictable and incalculable nature of the drying process. When she paints her abstract pictures, she goes on a journey of discovery. Experimentation and the search for ever new forms of expression with different materials, structures and colors determine her painting process.
She is constantly educating herself and looking for new design opportunities.
