István Martzy
I was born in Budapest in 1981. I got accidentally enchanted by Mallorca in my thirties during a summer trip, and here I am still, after 12 years. I started with watercolours in 2017. I mostly paint skies, landscapes, and maritime themes. My relation with this medium has become very special, painting puts me into a warm place where time stands still, and I can almost hear the paint drying. I cannot call myself as an artist, as I never studied art, yet I do create; shapes and colours out of nothing, onto a blank white paper, and every minute of this creation is amazing. Furthermore, if the end result causes conflict or touches a human soul, I feel like my job is done.
