Art Competition

Only a month until the first ArtistsofMallorca.com exhibition, and the busy stage of organising is upon us. Miguel Angel Delgado kindly designed the posters and flyers, which will hopefully create a lot of interest, and mean we have a great turnout. I have been busy spray painting branches to break up the space, still not entirely sure if they'll look great, but fingers crossed! Looking forward to meeting everyone so if you can make it to Port de Soller on any of the dates, 24 to 27 June, please do - I'll be there.

The next exciting thing is a new Art Competition for the island. The first Artists of Mallorca Annual Art Prize launches on Friday 28 May, but I wanted to let you know before the general launch. All the details will be on the website ArtistsofMallorca.com. The aim is to grow the prize over the next couple of years, but I need to prove that lots of artists want to be involved and to ensure that it's interesting to sponsors, press etc. It would be fantastic if as many artists on the island as possible can enter.
